Any news about the Nanostreams yet?

The same planned release date as was initially stated- September for the 6025 and 6045, December for the 6055. Of course, we have yet to have ever been on schedule so these are only guestimates.

According to the info I've seen the 6045 is the largest of the three right?
If not could you correct my thinking.
How do these mount, I'm thinking like the Vortech's do but want to make sure first.
As I'm looking at those also, wanted full size streams but don't care much for their size.

Any idea of cost yet?

Can't wait for these to come out guess I'm gonna have to keep my eyes out :D

The pricing is already firm

6025-$61.84
6045-$96.63
6055-$202.93

Pricing includes the magnet holder which will work on up to 1/2" glass.

I just completed the tests of the 115V versions yesterday and it was acceptable and production is supposed to start in 2 weeks so we should be on target for a release of the 6025 and 6045 for the end of September.

Thanks Roger that sounds good.

Curious though if the 6055 is the only one that can be used with the multicontroller because of the variable output of the pump.

Will the 7095 multicontroller still be able to operate up to 8 of these like the streams? Providing you get the adapters and y cable.

Why such a big price jump from the 6045 and 6055 is this because of the variable output and differences in the motor design?

Thanks for the feedback so far:D

The 6055 will be available in 115V. It is controllable on the 7095 and you can run up to 8 of them or mix and match them with other Tunze Electronic pumps. They are low voltage and will include the transformer. The driver is now built into the pump so it is just the pump and a transformer and the cable coming off the pump splits into a power cable and controller cable.

sounds cool are there spec sheets available for the 6055? watts and gallons? looks like a cool design. have to have controllable though. well maybe a mix of all on and controllable.

Online you can download all the info on the Interzoo 2006 PDF, flow is 1450gph. Wattage is 4-18 depending on power setting. The pump is 2.7" in diameter. The output is 1.5", a bit smaller than the full size Streams. The 6055 isn't expected to be available until December. It is more complicated with all the electronics and more testing is needed.

That's great news about the September release of the 6025 and 6045; I have a 60 gallon corner tank that desparately needs a couple of the 6025s. Please post here as soon as they're available. Of course, I'm right down the road in San Antonio, so if you happen to have a couple around that could be "tested", I'd be more than happy to take a ride up to Austin.

I think you would want the 6045. The 6025's are more suitable for a 20-30 gal tank. I only have the one sample and it is staying right here.

It's funny I was thinking about that; tough for me to know which would be best. It's an odd shaped tank. Looking at it from the front, facing the corner, it's 36" across at the widest point, which is where the back walls meet the short front walls (10") which then are joined by a long flat front pane at a 45o angle. Similar to the oceanic 54 bowfront corner, except instead of the curved front, its 3 flat pieces. The actual display volume, given the fact that I have a large overflow box in the rear corner, is probably around 45-50 gallons.

I was planning on putting the nanostreams facing each other in the corners at the widest part. Right now there are maxijets there. It's actually a pretty good amount of flow combined with the return pump, but it's way too fast immediately in front of the maxijets and not enough flow in other areas. The 6025s would double the flow in GPH of the maxijets, but I understand the appearance is different due to the nature of the flow. I'd be a little worried about 2 of the 6045s in that space, with the sand bed. Given the dimensions I've described, what do you think?

I would get 2 6045. At Interzoo the pumps were demoed in 8gal cube tanks and a 6025 looked to me to be about right for a reef from 10-29 gallons. The flow reach was only about 2ft.

I've never used Tunze products before. Do these powerheads run on their own or do you need a controller?

I was planning on getting some Seios and then buying the magnetic mounts, but this option seems like it would cost about the same and the powerhead is way cooler looking.

How many would I need for a Oceanic 58 RR?

The 6025 and 6045 cannot be controlled, the 6055 can but it doesn't have to have a controller to run.

Two 6055 and the multicontroller would be the ideal in my opinion.

Anyone taking pre-orders yet? Are they supposed to come out september 1st or 31st? Will tunze be selling these direct though their website?
