Any one know if magnets are submersible?

Might sound stooooopid, but can both sides of a stream magnet be submerged (obviously I know one side can be)? I am moving my 6000 and controller (to my 180 room divider), but the only way to secure it is by attaching it to the corner overflow. Because the tank is built in, there is no clearance to magnet to the sides.

Yes, both sides can be. Actually each side is identical.
