Any one snorkel in Akumal bay

I'm going to be staying in Akumal soon and was wondering how the bay was for snorkeling?

Spend the money and go to Xcaret Park,block a whole day for it,we have been to hawaii and it doesn't hold a candle to Xcaret Park,And don't forget the night show best thing i have ever seen....Have fun and good luck....Marcus

Thanks, that's what I have been hearing. It's not to far (20 miles) so we now have a whole day planned there.

you must see the Aquarium,it blows Waikiki away. The show runs late, do all of them, they will guide you to the next show when one is done.When you go to the "Games" don't sit up close and down at the botom or you can't get pics because of the fence they raise up.I am telling you I have never seen anything like it in my life and the snork. is unreal TAKE THE CAMERA..........good luck

We were in Akumal in December and are going back in August.

It's a great place.

The best snorkeling is on the North and South side of Half Moon Bay (HMB) (which is just North of Akumal) and Yal Ku (which is just North of HMB). For tons of info, check out this site www.locogringo.com
