Any Online Stores Ship To Canada??

I've got a friend in the Ottawa area that is just getting started with reefkeeping, and he's convinced that none of the online stores will deliver to Canada. So he's now looking for Canadian based online stores, which he doesn't believe exist.

I've done a little searching, but I figured I'd ask here since there are quite a few Canada based members here on RC. He says his LFS's aren't very good, so he's hoping to find an online store where he can purchase general livestock.

Also, if anyone is aware of any reef clubs that are in the Ontario area, that would be great. The clubs here at RC all seem to be in the states.

Thanks!

another vote for J&L

also you can ask your friend to check out www.aquariumpros.ca its the Canadian version of RC but is smaller than RC of course but great for looking and asking about local stores, reefers, etc

how long have you/he lived in OTTAWA?? theres lots of products here and in TO. no need to ship anything.
MARINESCAPE
OVAS.CA
and a bunch of guys whom import and sell from there house.
RAY and REDBELLY on OVAS are two of them.
on AQUARIACANADA.COM there is a large forum for reefers and we hold MASO meetings bimonthly.

For dry goods I really like www.mops.ca (Mail Order Pet Supplies). Their shipping rates are great (<$7 for most packages, free for orders over $200) and the service is fantastic. I'm in Toronto, and usually receive shipments from mops within about 48h of ordering. J&L also has a solid reputation, I haven't tried them out yet but when I'm ready to buy livestock I may shop with them rather than the LFS.

there's many online stores in the States that ship to canada. i've bought from petsolutions, marinedepot, reefgeek will ship to canada also but i never bought anything from them. In most cases it will end up cheaper if he doesn't buy from an online store in canada even after customs and taxes. tell your buddy if he buys from the states to stay away from stores that ship with UPS, their duty fees are insane up to 40% after taxes. Jlaquatics is by far the best online store in canada though.
i've also bought a lot of stuff from ivan of AquariaCanada, he;s a great guy to deal with and his price is competitive with most online store. Marinescape in ottawa is not too bad for livestock too

also if he's willing to drive to montreal, the bigals there have a very good SW section, nothing like the bigals here in ottawa
