Any "ouch" bites??

I have a bonded pair of YSM's my wife call Mike and Molly. He's a really peaceful fish. But SHE has become an evil beast!! This morning while replacing a fallen soldier(can't find a glue that works), she darted out and full on bit my hand...and it ALMOST hurt. Assumed I had just been startled by her elevated aggression and continued...before I knew what happened she bit me 3 more times and actually DID hurt...anybody else experience this? Finally grabbed a splatter screen to keep her at bay...

Anybody else wanna share a fish bite story? Clown or other species.

Totally depends on the individuals. I have had clown pairs that show no agression to me whatsoever (including a mating pair of maroons), while others attack me at any opportunity.

My female non percula will bit me constantly when doing tank work.

Otherwise.. she's a model citizen.

I have had a pair of Ocellaris clowns for 7 years, I've learned not to put my hand too close to their area. The female has drawn blood before.

Her aggression became even worse when I introduced a nem. Good news is that it created clearly defined boundries. just stay away from the nem and we're good.

I have a pair of Ocellaris clowns and my female was always very nice when i was in the tank doing work. I put a carpet nem in there last week and now if people even walk by the tank she goes after them. she's mean!

I use to have a female perc that was great unless I had my hands in the tank. She drew blood and it hurt. I eventually invested in a pair of gloves just so I could work in my own tank.

My Wyoming White female attacks my arm. No bites yet. Just b****slapping me with her body/tail lol.

When I had my maroons years ago, they definitely made me bled.
The onyx I have now are much less vicious but still nip if I put my hand too close to their home.

No clowns but my dragon gave me a love nip when I was taking a protein skimmer out of the tank. Luckly only the front 4 teeth found my palm but taking one of them out later was t wasn't very fun.

My onyx perc female has figured out that biting in soft tissue is more effective. She selectively bites the tissue in between my fingers and loves to bite the tissue between thumb and index finger. She has also taken to biting fleshy corals that I am moving/holding and has taken to attacking them for a second or two after I finish placing them. Which sometimes leads to me having to get back in to work on it again. I think it is a game for her now. The first time she drew blood she was only 1.5 inches, I tell my wife that our clown takes after her.
