Any Reefsafe peaceful Angel Fish?

I was set on a pygmy but when I saw this coral beauty today I had to get it. So far he has not touched a soft or lsp. Of course he has been in the tank less than 12 hours and could become crazy for the taste of coral.

I have an Eibli angel. From day one, it got along with my two occ. clowns and my hippo tang. It doesn't seem to nip at any corals. The only thing it has nipped at (on occasion) are snails. As mentioned before, I think it's really hit or miss as to whether the fish you get will nip at anything.

purchased a swallowtail angelfish a few weeks back, and it has been picking at my clams non stop. my cb and flame on the other hand r very reef safe.

My Flameback ate duncans and acans like nobody's business. He is living in someone elses tank now. My Watanabe is a model citizen and very beautiful.

The Angel Fish Project

the people here on Reef Central have compiled a list of angels and there propensity to snack on corals based off of the combined experience of the many reefers who use this forum.
Hope this helps

Angels needs a lot of high quality food to be healthy. If you go with a larger species they may pace in your system. Just like tangs they need a lot of swimming room.

I would keep it to a single dwarf species. If it causes damage trade it in at the lfs.

Flame is hit of miss... From what i understand they all are...from experience i can tell u flame angel is not reef safe because ive seen my bother im laws pick at all his corals and do some damage, other may have luck but ive seen disaster

hi, I have a coral beauty & a flame angel in my tank for about 7 months now. never touched any corals as yet. I do watch carefully as I know that can change. But both are beautiful fish to have .
