Any stores sell bulkheads?

Do any stores around the Pittsburgh area sell bulkheads? Elmer's sells some, but they don't have the kind I am looking for.

I need 3 - 1" bulkheads that are threaded on the flange side, and slip on the nut side.

Thanks.

Try your local hardware store....mine hase black ones for a reasonable price, though the nut is thickererererer.

Yeah Elmer's wants too much, because they are the bulkhead "kit" (bulkhead, strainer, street elbow), and they don't have the kind I need. They only stock the slip x slip bulkheads.

I'll have to try out some hardware stores tomorrow. Wet Pets is about an hour from me, so I'll call them tomorrow and see what they have... but they would be my last resort.

Decided not to pick up any bulkheads, but came home with some other goodies. :D

Thanks Jeff

Swifty,
Nice! I like the last pic a lot, it looks much nicer under your lights.
I can't imagine how the
Bubble Gum Monster would look under there (hint hint) . LOL

Haha... Yeah we sat in the car for probably 10 minutes deciding whether to go back in for it or not. I think it'll be the welcoming gift for the new tank once it's up and running.

The pics were taken less than 5 minutes after they were added to the tank, so they were still pretty stressed, and should color up a lot more over the next few weeks. I love the colors that pop under the 20k's. You sacrifice some growth power... but the colors make up for it, and then some IMO.

I like running 14k bulbs with a lot of actinic that way you still get the growing power and the 20k color and effect. But with a sacrifice of some money for some extra actinic LOL.

Right now I'm going with the Rimless Pendant look, so I can't aesthetically add VHO's... I'm considering having a floating canopy built then using the 20k's and Super Actinic VHO's down the road though. :eek2:

A switch to T5's is another idea I've been playing with as well.

I'm going to try the Pheonix 14k's over my frag setup, and see how the color/growth does under them. The nice thing is that the guy I purchased my pendants off of had a decent amount of extra bulbs that he threw in as well, so I'll be able to play around with some different spectrums.
