Any success with Emperor angelfish in reef tank??

I've been in the saltwater hobby for a few years now but only had FOWLR tanks. I know emperors aren't not considered reef safe, but I do see reef tanks that have the emperor. I'm setting up a reef tank here in the next month or so and I would hate to get rid of my juvenile emperor. How do they keep the coral hungry fish in there tank? Do they eat certain corals?

mine eats corals.

eats all meaty LPS, so I removed those.
nipps on my SPS and clams, but they are fine.

my emperor behaives better than my pygmy angels !

ive seen a few people have them in reef tanks and they nip from time to time and ive also seen them wipe out tanks.

Ive had a majestic for some time now and it hasnt touched a thing!

I have 7" Chrysurus Angelfish in the 180 reef tank. I have also clams, zoas, starbursts and some other soft coral. The angel leaves them alone. I feed the angel very well, though. I feed mysis in the morning. I also feed pellets and flakes on an auto feeder three times a day. Originally I was planning to house the angelfish in the fish only tank, but due to the tankmate issue, I had to transfer him to the reef. I still think it wasn't wise decision, but so far so good. It has been 5 months now.
