Any swap details?

Here is the info from the last post that I have seen regarding the swap (July 8th).

=========================
The next swap should be in the York area. We are still working on the itinerary and setting things up. If you would like to help we sure could use it!

The swap is probably going to be in late summer early fall. September would be perfect but nothing has been decided yet.

So I am just going to assume that the new board has been working feverishly behind the scenes to put together this event, and other events that were promised to the members.

I'd love to be helping, but I don't have the first clue on what to do... if someone can give me some guidance, I'll be glad to do the leg work.

I'm looking forward to this one too!

Maybe someone could set it up on Fragswapper so we can get started and start dreaming...

Remember MACNA is in September.

Steve;

I don't think you have to worry about any event conflicitng with MACNA.

Given that the BOD won't even reply to this post, only leads me me think that there is not much progress on the swap... so even if it does happen in fall there is no way it would happen a month or less from now.

Ricky has a ticket to create the event in FragSwapper. If somebody else wants to do it, let me know.

I looked back, on our tentative schedule we handed out at the fall 2006 meeting, we listed October 2007 for the meeting.

Sept -- Oct -- no rush just looking forward

I was thinking about a last minute trip to the MACNA event but all the good events are filled and so last minute comers pay a high ticket price and can't get into 1/2 the events. Looks like you gotta book early.

You can still get into all of the events. You might be confused from the schedule layout and getting mixed up with when the trade show opens and closes.

I definately am mixing them up Steve.
If I can into all the events -- I'd like to go.
I've never been west of Harrisburg (lol)
and the drive might be nice
the events look great
Thanks for clarifying

Hi Dan. The main things for getting the swap moving are 1) confirming the location, and 2) confirming a date. We had a place and volunteer in York, I thought Rick was following up based on some earlier message. Then it's just seeing what weekend they are free. If you can avoid PSU home football weekends, that's nice too!

I sent Mary all my notes and stuff from when I was on the board, somewhere in there I think is a list of all the things that have to be done for a swap (location, date, food and drink, speaker and donations for raffle (both are semi-optional and takes some lead time), registration, advertising (flyers/RC posts), and lots of little stuff like how to get RO water there).

i sent a pm to ricky and tried to contact the guy in york to get the latest info but his box is full.i will post any details as soon as i get them.thanks Dan

I'm the guy that offered my restaurant for the fall swap. I don't know what is going on but i'm heading into my busy season and almost all my sat are filling up fast. The first person that sent me a pm about the swap was bking ( I think that was his RC name). That was ten months ago. I told him to call me but he never did. Next was Rickyfins back in june. I told him to call me so we could get a date booked but he never did. If you guys want to use my place someone needs to pm asap so we can reserve the room. Thanks Bobby

I will have some time freeing up in about a week and I will feverishly work on it then, but I have had some troubles that have prevented me from doing so.

I am sorry for any delays. I will be catching up here shortly. I just gotta get through the first week of school and wait until the chimmney, roof, and furnace are done at the house(contractors). I also have a new job starting soon so everyone look out because everytime I am employed the weather sucks! LOL

thanks,

Rick

Fragswapper is up. The date is set and there is a thread on the NCPARS forum for us to discuss things and make announcements.

Well I guess I can't make this one. I have this pesky little event called "My Wedding" that same day. :)

It's a shame too since it's only an hour away from the new house. Although...I really don't have a tank setup anyway..I'll be breaking the 125g down for a few months to get the 240g up.

Oh well...while you guys are setting your corals up on Sunday I should be swimming around some in Curacao. :)
