Any thoughts on this horse?

I never had a pregnant horse, and thought I finally might. This guy (and I use the term guy loosely, as I'm not sure if its male or female at this point anymore) was thinner, and began fattening in the abdominal area. This area grew steadily for a few days, and as such I figured it was a pouch with eggs. However, the size has leveled off and hasn't changed over the past few days. The horse 'acts' as I would imagine a pregnant horse, either pacing in circles around the tank, or perched hugging on himself. But as he hasn't gotten any bigger at this point, I'm at a loss as to what his condition is. He's eating fine, and seems fine other then his enlarged gut. Thank you for any thoughts, the last pic shows best demonstrates the enlarged gut area, very rounded now, previously this area was fairly 'smooth'.

It is definately a male. Is it swimming ok? I don't think its pregnant. In fact, it looks normal to me.

He swims just fine. Just more 'pacing' then previous, but who knows, might have just been seeing him at a time when he's scrounging for food.

The main thing that made me think something was up was that his pouch area seemed to increase in size, I'd say 1.5 times as big in a matter of a week or two. Again, I know the pictures are poor, but in the last pic, above and to the right of my thumb, I assume is his pouch, seemed to increase size wise.

maybe he is just puffing it up,to show off to the female.
sometimes ,mine are huge..there just flirting..
it will take 14 days then you'll know.
did you see them flashing colors?
and dancing?
