Any tips on keeping a Blasto?

Hi,

I ordered my first ever blasto's and I have heard they can be tricky to take care of.

Does anyone have any good pointers with these?

I'm mainly interested in lighting, flow and tank placement suggestions. I have a Nano Cube DX with stock lighting (36 watts (I think) of Power Compact lighting)

Thanks for any input.

Blastos are quite easy to keep. You need to feed them so they can spread faster. Mine will eat anything.

Your lighting is great because they hate bright intense lighting. Flow i noticed with mine low to medium and they love to eat meaty foods after the lights are out for at least an hour. I feed mine mysis, fish roe, cyclops, and of course Rods Food. I like to alternate what I feed them. They are great but slow growing unlike Acans Lord. which grow quickly.

Thanks for the info.

I have cyclopzees & Coral Frenzy which is the food of choice for a lot of my corals, it looks like my electric green candycane is turning inside out when I spot feed with that.

If anyone is interested Sharkeys has a buy 2 get 1 free blasto sale, that's where I ordered these from.
