any tips on recovering from an ALK spike?

I recently had an ALK spike where the alkalinity got into the mid teens (~15) and many of my SPS started to STN. I also lost one or two colonies. I believe I have stabilized everything now with the calcium ~400 and the ALK ~9. Is there any trick to getting the corals to recover quicker? Many have severely receded and I don't want to lose them! I don't dose anything other than daily (~1-2%) water changes that are done via a controller. Total water volume is 200 gallons. Is it just a waiting game to see what recovers and starts to grow again?

If they are really RTNing bad you could frag off a couple of pieces to save them. How did you ALK spike so high?

frag off the parts that are still alive. Other than that It is a waiting game just keep the parameters constant.

If you get your parameters back in line and stable they should recover.
