Any trustworthy LFS in the Hollywood/Miami area?

Was wondering if anyone have any good experience with purchasing fish from a LFS around here? I've seen many stores with really sick fish and was hoping to find one that actually keep healthy ones.

I do believe that a good majority of the fish stores have healthy fish. BUT I do believe as the consumer you should learn what to look out for just in case.

The Aquatic Kingdom and Fish Collection are my 2 go to places. Both give good customer service and very competitive prices.

For me it all depends on what you are looking for. I pay attention to the details, I go to stores sometimes the day they go to the wholesalers. You can see who quarantines their fish, and who puts them in to sell right from the wholesaler's bag full of copper water, who leaves dead fish there for hours or feeds them to other fish, who dips their coral and who does not (which you should regardless). It's all in the details.

I have stores that I will not buy fish from, others I will not buy Corals from, and those that I only buy equipment because they have a big selection but their tanks are cesspools.

From the Miami stores, the best fish selection and quality comes from ocean view aquariums IMHO. The other place I am confident buying fish from is VIP down south. Very seldom do I stray from those.
Corals I buy at aquatic kingdom, reefbox, strictly fish, and at VIP. However a good deal on a coral that looks healthy is hard to pass up ALMOST anywhere.

reeflife aquarium in coral springs.Daniel takes very god care of his fish and quarantines and hospitalizes when necessary.

If you don't mind driving around... Blue Earth, Exotic Aquatic, Strictly Fish are some great places to check out.

Elite marine in pompano beach hands down best quarantine .Will not allow you to take a fish out of the store until it has completed 2 weeks in qt.
