any tunze 9005 skimmer mods?

im thinking of getting rid of the collection cup on the tunze 9005 skimmer all together. it's just too big to fit in my acrylic tanks with acrylic top bracing. plus it's an eye sore. i'm looking for a smaller eplacement collection cup. or a mod that pumps the skimate directly from the skimmer out into a bucket.

With the stock pump that will be pretty difficult, with a 9010 or 9011 pump you could use the 9020.140 foam extractor.

doesn't the 9020.140 foam extractor fit the the housing of the 9005, and the housing of 9005 and 9010 are exactly the same? if so, what's the difference between using it on the 9005 vs 9010?

The 9010, 9020 and 9015 all have the stronger 9010.040 pump. The 9005 pump isn't strong enough.
