Any updates on Tropic Eden reeflakes?

Here's the story: There's a huge back-order on the larger grain substrates. The October 2013 order we placed for a full container is only going to be half-filled, and we're STILL waiting on the actual container it will be coming on to schedule a departure date. This batch of Reef Flakes may be the last one for a while, limiting availability for the foreseeable future to the Mini and the Snow. We don't really have any info beyond that at this point, since everything on that side of the world operates under a different concept of urgent, rush, or priority. I promise we'll keep you as updated as they keep us, so you'll have the best chance possible to get in on this shipment.

The shipment is confirmed on the water... that should mean a 30-day countdown til arrival...

Sweet! Finally something I can hang my hat on. I've been looking forward to this for a while! I'll be counting the days. Hurray, lol!!!

I don't have a count yet. The manifests aren't that detailed at this stage, just listing a container and a gross weight - we'll know more from the Port Authority or the Customs inspection. They'll show the actual numbers and the itemized invoice.

Is it just the reef flakes that are limited? I guess mini flakes are in stock and available

It appears that only the Reef Flakes are limited supply. The others seem to be holding up.

Nam Nguyen: You'll have to ask the SPS crowd for their recommendations... I'm a mixed-reef/mixed-grades sorta reefer.

What's great is that all of you who've chimed in on this thread are secure in your orders, so now you're contentedly awaiting the cargo ship. There are plenty of folks out there who are still nervously gnawing on their knuckles (say that 5 times fast!) hoping that they can get their necessary poundage for the build that's been delayed for months...

Is there anyone else who knows exactly what they need out of the Reef Flake order? If so, let me know.

This should be a regular-sized order of everything we stock, both dry and live, except for the half-filled order of Reef Flakes. I don't have the specific numbers, but we'll be stocked back up on all of the types, our supplier assured us.
