I've got a pretty diesel 6-line. Been the only wrasse in the tank....ever. Are any wrasses compatible with this little steamer or do you think it best not to rock the boat?
^+1 I've tried adding wrasses to my tank with an established 6 line. He didn't like that so much. He didn't even like the other types of new fish added to the tank. Long story short he is no longer in my tank.
I agree with the opinions above. Personally I don't find sixlines all that interesting so I would remove it in favor of others that are much more interesting.
I can certainly resist adding another wrasse. Mine has never harrassed any other fish, new or old. But, I thank you for your info. It was my sneaking suspicion that it would go bonkers if a different wrasse were added.
snorvich, I'd have to respectfully disagree. My 6 line is quite quirky and always doing some bazaar swimming or fluttering display. Quite clownish. Maybe I just got lucky with this guy, but I certainly don't wanna rock the boat.
Everyone likes different things; that is what makes the world go round. I personally love flasher wrasses which are, of course, inconsistent with sixlines.
True enough Steve. In hind-sight, there are so many beautiful wrasses to choose from. But, he was the 2nd fish I ever got. I've had him close to 4 years. I'd hate to displace him because he's not as purdy as some of the others. The thing has grown like crazy. As I said before he's diesel. He's started to grow a hump like salmon do. My friends want to know if he knows "meat head" Barry Bonds.....
