anybody drill a aqueon 40 long?

I am working on a project and plan on using a 40 long from aqueon. Has anybody had any experience drilling back/side/bottom. none of the stores in my local area carries 40 longs, so i cant really check one out for tempered glass using the polarized light and filter method in person.

I drilled my 75g so i am familiar with the process.

I drilled a 40 breeder. I would guess that only the bottom is tempered. I think there are nondestructive tests to see for sure. You can always call the manufacturer.

Go to the aqueon site. There is a section there called weights and something. The doc has those specs. I called them about a 55g I have that I was going to drill. Found out from them that ALL of the boxed kit tanks (the ones that come with heaters, filters etc) which is what I had, are 100% tempered glass.

Good to know about those boxed kits, almost bought one the other day. Guess I will have to explore the aqueon site some more. I have heard mixed replies for other size tanks, thought I would ask specific to this one.
