I have been disconnected for a while, so I am not up to date with recent developments.

I was hoping for somebody that had bought directly from them.

They list the manufacturer as "Manufacturer: Major Brand"

So I am assuming/actually hoping this to be some unlabeled production everrun from one of the major players.

I have gotten bad MH bulbs...Let's just say they toasted most of my SPS...Not something to fool around with if you ask me, but if you want to try them I wouldn't leave them on long if your sps start negatively reacting...you will tell right away...

Usually you get what you pay for. I personally would not risk it. Plus you cannot guarantee the standards the bulb was built with.

This is a good point maybe it doesnt have the proper UV shielding etc....

Ok, I wrote to the company asking for the manufacturer.

The manufacturer is Higuchi.

I found no hits for higuchi on a search on reefcentral, and so far not much online.

plus don't look at the light...I hurt my eyes when i put the bad bulbs in...instantly gave me a headache...yeesh! who knows what internal damage they did lol...

I think looking at it was a bad idea wether a brandname bulb or some no-name surprise crap :frog:
