Anybody got a PPE?

I have had my PPEs for about 4 days and the polyps have yet to open up. What lighting do these guys prefer?

I've got Purple Deaths and Nuclear Greens along with the PPE shipment and these opened up on the first day.

Yeah those guys are pretty sensitive. They like medium to low light. Mine's on the bottom of the tank. Give it some time like one to 2 weeks, if it doesn't shrink or show slime it should be okay. If it hasn't totally dissolved in a week or two, it should recover.

It seems like the True PEs are very sensitive. I lost about 8 polyps of TGPEs and 2 polyps of TRPEs already. It sure sucks when these things just melt on you.

I have a few polyps of the PPEs and hopefully they all make it.

What do I do if they start to slime?

I'd try an iodine dip. I've heard that'll help them open up.

when i got mines, they opened up right away. i have them under 250DE phoenix on the sand bed. They really open up and expand!

I'm doing a dip right now - let's sure hope it works. I have 4 polyps that's worth $200. I would surely suck to loose this frag.
