Anybody here tried reef chili?

Just curious if anyone has tried the Reef Chili that mjmods sells? I see it's also on ebay.

Just curious what you thought of it.

I was thinking of trying some, i tried to get the guy to send us some samples but wouldnt. So that leads me to think that if wont offer some for a club to try it must not be worth buying at all.

I hear Rod's Food is good but its frozen so shipping is a PIA. Next tiem im up in Chicago im gonna grab a bunch.

Rod's food is supposed to be like the best stuff out there. But like you said shipping is a killer. I might mod another one of my maxi's and if I do i'll order some of that too and give it a try.

They have a lot of good feedback on Ebay.

Rods Reef is the only thing I feed. Plus some Sea Veggies for the tangs to keep the fat. Everything seems to like it. But, like any food.....you have to watch it so you don't overfeed and pollute you water.

I use reefchilli, I just mix it in with there frozen and dry food. When my tank was majority LPS and softies they would all open up after feeding it. I suppose it is the same thing or simular to reefroids

I got one of the samples of reef chili that sharkys reef was giving out at IMAC. My corals reponded well to it. I still add a little bit to the frozen food that I feed.

Well the problem with that is having people actually get it after we order. Maybe we could do something like that right before the next big meeting. If we buy enough we might as well just call rod and order it directly from him. Ive talked to him before and he seemed like a cool guy ill bet he would hook us up.....

Being the next big meeting isnt until May it might be a problem, i want some soon.

If we were to order 10 packages, it would come out to $22.37/bar after shipping. I just checked UPS and we are in the 2 day ground shipping zone, so that saves $16.

I have some reefchili that I have been trying for a couple of months. I have only been feeding it occasionally and all my softies and LPS seem to like it along with the fish, shrimp, and crabs.

I could send you some if you want to try it. I only got the small bottle, but have quite a bit left.

So im gonna call Rod and see if he can give us a deal or if we gotta go through premium. Im not sure how to go about this, i dont have a problem ordering for everyone thats intrested but i dont know if you guys that are far from me wanna drive to come pick it up. It seems like theres quite a few people intrested.

I'm not sure but from what I have read I use to make a home made food thats pretty close to this food. I had mysis, brine shrimp, krill, clams, mussels, blood worms, cyclopeeze, dt's oyster eggs, formula 1 or 2 reef blend(can't remember which one). Not much fun to make but it was some really good food Maybe it would be cheaper to get a large group together and make some.
