I want to up the calcium level fon my brothers 120 gal. tank, but he can't afford a calcium reactor set-up just yet. I heard of this two part calcium additives before, was wondering if anybody here using them and getting good results.

Make your own, it's a lot cheaper. The recipe is over in the chemistry forum. Leslie Pool supply sells dry calcium that is similar to the Dow flake called for in the mix.

works well for me.

How often do you dose? Do you find that you use alot? I heard it's best to dose at night. I've been thinking of using it also.

thanks

I'll check it out right now!

I got a 50g and dose a full cup(that it comes with) everyday. Works well for me but if you got a large tank might get expensive.

that looks pretty simple, is this what you use?

For the alkaline part, you can buy baking soda in bulk bags at restaurant supply stores like Smart and Final - much cheaper than supermarkets.

Don't forget to look into epsom salt for the magnesium recipe.
