There's some guy in Northville on the North Fork that has a sign up for all sorts of farm animals for sale, including chickens IIRC. I'll try and remeber to double check on my way home and get the number for you.

Hey can you show me pics of your coop and run? We want to do something simillar as a joint project with a couple of friends but are still in the planning stage. I have seen people selling chicks on craigslist. You should also check local feed stores.

They are pretty darn cute, thats for sure. We ended up getting ten hens, mixed breeds, from 5-10 weeks old. They're poop machines.
