Aqualife in Rocklin has had some nice stuff, but I think coral reef shop has been the nicest...

It may be a little far for you, but Carters in Stockton had some really nice LR in a few weeks ago when I was in there. Lots of Tonga and plenty of big, flat, shelf-type pieces too, although the Tonga was like $7/lb and the other was like $1 more. It was very nice though.....
