Anybody use a Reeflo dart in their system?

I will be in the process of upgrading to a Marineland 250 Deep dimensions. I plan on using my current Sump which is a skimz up36 (approx 32 gallons) and installing a second exact Sump as a refugium. I will also have a manifold which will have several gate valves for UV. Denitrator, carbon reactor, and feed the refugium. My question is do you think the reeflo pump is entirely too strong a pump? I would hate to be gateing it down. I used the head glow calculator on RC but a I can't figure it out.
