Anybody using Julian Sprung's Reborn in your SPS tanks?

Need to change out my media in my CalRx and need some input on Julian Sprung's Reborn. Used CaribSea's ARM (fine grade) in the past and had good results.

Also asked this question over in the Chemistry forum; what size media is everyone using nowadays: fine, large or extra large?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, it's a great product. Larger grain allows for better water flow, and prevents "clumping" of the media, whichever brand you use. I go through a LOT of media, and it's great not to have to rinse it. Just open, fill, and the reactor is back running in no time.

Clumping is inevitable. As the media breaks down, it will crumble into small particles, ie clumps. So until that dissolves, you will have such residue.

Having said that, I use any type... including old coral skeletons.
