Anyone bought Carpets from Blue Zoo?

Thinking about grabbing one but not seeing the actual anemone before buying has me nervous. I'd of course treat it as soon as it arrived but I'm wondering if anyone here has any experiences with them.

My green Haddoni and tan Gig are both from BZ. The green Haddoni was sent to me on accident when I ordered the tan Gig. Let them know what happened and they sent out the Gig that day. Didn't want the Haddoni but it was a nice freebie. Both had to be treated but are doing well about 10 months later. Gig was severely bleached upon arrival but has colored up nicely with time.

I ordered a green Gig a few months back. It arrived in decent shape and made it through treatment but it withered away in the DT- I suspect allelopathy from the other nems.

Ordered another green Gig from BZ this morning.

My story is similar to olemiss reb. They also sent me a haddoni by mistake but credited back my account after I sent photos.

I've bought several gigantea from them. Unfortunately it's hit or miss. But my overall recommendation would be to go for it, especially given their reasonable prices for standard colored carpets. If they arrive DOA they'll give you credit.

Another time shipping was delayed and the nems died (it was UPS' fault, which is unfortunate because they were shipping within the state). The last one I received was a replacement nem for one that arrived DOA -- I originally ordered a small and the replacement was easily a medium or large.

I also thought about ordering a green gig this morning after I received notification that they were in stock. If I wasn't out of town for the next couple of days, and then again this weekend, I probably would've ordered one.

I just ordered. I tried to grab 2 to get free shipping but it looks like I got the last one. Probably for the best since I imagine it's better to treat them alone then having two in the same tank. The one I bought a couple weeks ago looks to be on its last legs. Still won't attach and has been pretty deflated for the past 36 hours.

Definitely keep us posted. My only concern was that they were not true green gigs, but simply brown gigs that were bleached. I've had quite a few gigs that were pale green but once they were healthy they turned into brown gigs.

Yea. I'm curious about how green it will actually be too. I checked on my green one earlier. I had to take it out. The foot was starting to disintegrate. Not sure what happened with that one. It never attached firmly even from the start but I thought it was in good enough shape to save.

Got an email today saying it didn't ship because it was in "quarantine". I'm assuming that means it either died or is dying. Sucks. I was looking forward to seeing if it was a nice true green. I'm glad they didn't ship if it was looking bad though.

I've been told by BZA staff that some of their anemones undergo 4 day antibiotics treatment. I've bought two gigs from them before for local pickup. They had to be treated but initially were in very good condition as opposed to already dead or dying.

Well that is promising. Hopefully it will work out.
