I've been collecting. Thinking of going bare bottom on the 250g so Lords along the bottom would be fun.

Wondering why they changed the name. Did the partner have a trademark on the name?

Tbh, I like Golden State Corals more than the old name; "California Aquariums" didn't really stand out (to me at least) or their store name didn't really pop up on search engines.

Curious if anyone know the trade name of this acan if any

Thanks

Been collecting Acans to grow out lately.

This one colony was grown from a 1 polyp frag.

Also growing these guys out.

This single polyp has ~4-6 babies at its base now.

Ultragem in Burbank always has acans on hand as well. Nice acans above Eric.
Greg, Elliot wanted to change the name after he took over as sole owner. Austin, his former partner is still servicing tanks on his own, so he wanted to make sure there was no confusion between the two businesses.
Okay, back to acans. I'm sure you'll find plenty of local reefers who are willing to sell some.
Good luck!

I just visited Aqua SD in San Diego, it's pretty far south, for the first time. They have a crazy selection of acans, and the pricing isn't as ridiculous as it once was. I picked up a nice frag for $50. It's got 4 heads and great colors. I'll try to post a shot of it tonight.
