I have a had a seahorse tank now for well over a year with great success, only after months of reasearch and contious education. This is what is leading me to this question. Find out what peoples expierence's have been.
Good or bad, please reply. Thank you.

I ordered 4 captive bred seahorses (H. erectus) from Draco Marine about 2 months ago. They arrived very healthy and I would absolutely do it again. It took a couple weeks or so to get them trained to eat from a feeding dish, but now they're quite easy to care for. One of my males even gave birth yesterday, so now I'm trying to raise the fry.

Are you saying you have seahorses now? If so, there are concerns about mixing horses/pipefish from different sources. They can be very susceptible to bacterial infections from foreign animals.

pacificeastaquaculture.com has some nice erectus w/ cirri aqucultured at maryland University. mine arrived very healthy and they love to eat. Very social. I also have a pair of sunburst erectus from OR . Nice coloration, yellow, orangish, nice paterns, also very healthy. I have heard good things about seahorsesource.com

Those horses are bred and raised by DracoMarine. You can order directly from them and save yourelf some money as you don't have to pay a middle man.

I have nothing against PacificEast and have gotten corals from them in the past. But if you can save yourself a few bucks in this hobby why not do it.

I did not know that. I did debate on whether to get them there, but I ordered like $300 in corals also so I managed to get a discount and free shipping. I do plan on buying a pair of the chocolate erectus from draco. PEA claims they are bred by MU at Maryland Aquarium. Is that where draco is?
