anyone done a nano with minimal light?

I have a reef nano 25 gallon tank, and another 20 gallon FOWLR tank b/c I don't want to invest in lights and a protein skimmer. The FOWLR tank is just 2 clowns and a blenny, lots of live sand and live rock. A Whisper 30 hang on the back filter deprived of carbon and sponge is the only circulation.

Lighting is just the cheap flourescent light bulb that you can get at petco when you buy one of their hoods.

Are there any low lighting corals that can do well in this environment like shrooms or anything else? has anyone ever done this?

Thanks in advance,
jamie

Well you don't have to invest too much on the lights. You can probably pickup some used pc's in the selling section for cheap. Its only a 20 gallon so it won't be too expensive. If you have the money to start up a second tank I'm sure you have enough to buy some half way decent pc's

Well, i'm kinda choosy about how I want the tank to look, and I prefer to have the tank have some kind of canopy-like thing over, and if I get PC's, then I'd probably need a retrofit kit and buy a canopy (no access to tools) ... too much of a hassle! In any case, just wondering if it's possible, if not, i'm happy w/my other reef tank :) The live rocks and sand were just donations believe it or not, and don't really want to spend more on that tank. Thinking of taking it down soon and donating everything to my parent's 55 gallon tank.
