anyone dosing microbacter with biopellets?

How much and how often are you dosing microbacter7 with biopellets?

I feel its important because as far as i understand, the biopellets are just the carbon source....you should still be adding bacteria.

I just ordered pellets for my sons tank. I'm dosing his tank right now mb7 and vsv. When the pellets do get added I will continue mb7 dosing with his tank. Definitely seed the reactor with mb7 with the initial 2 weeks then do the weekly low dose

I'm dosing zeo bak with pellets. I've only had the pellets on the system for just about 4 weeks now.

I used to dose MB7 but am now dosing Zeo Bio-Mate and occasionally ZEObak. Both Zeo products are good but the Bio-Mate is really great. I've noticed significant positive changes since using it.

I stopped dosing the MB7 due to constant cyano outbreaks on rock and sand. I started using Zeobac and have been using the Warner Marine pellets with no issues. I dose the Zeobac twice a week at one drop per 25 gallons. No more cyano or nuisance algaes. I have been running pellets for almost four months.

I had the same problems with MB7.I use WM bio pellets and Microbe-lift Special blend once a week,no more cyano.

It is highly recommended that you dose MB7 or something similar along with any carbon source. I have not has any cyano issues with MB7 in fact the opposite. With only vodka I had cyano, started MB7 and it went away.
