Anyone drip their Effluent onto GFO bag?

Anyone drip their calcium reactors effluent onto a GFO bag? I was thinking of making a small syringe type GFO holder that would allow the effluent to drip onto it then drip downwards.

Good idea?

Ill be using an Iron based GFO (either rowaphos or warner marine phosar, I have plenty of both on hand).
Will I have to worry about any binding issues???

Let me know,

Thanks

I plan to do the same, many reefers do this, the effluent from a Calcium reactor does tend to be high in phosphates, I got the idea a while ago from a thread on here somewhere, his effluent was dripping into a small syringe with GFO in it. The amount of GFO being used it would cost very little to change out weekly, this should eliminate any possible binding issues.

I tried searching and found nothing on this. The idea of having the effluent drip into a syringe with gfo sounds like a good idea. I was thinking of leaving the GFO for 1 month in the syringe though.

What are the binding issues?
