Anyone else frustrated?

I guess he quit!

All joking aside, I was way into it when I started in August, then went away in November for Thanksgiving. When I got back I had cyano everywhere. It wouldnt go away for about a month. That day I was about to quit. Got a phosban reactor and let it rip, stuff was gone in about 2 weeks. Relax, go slow, and realize your simulating the ocean, but on a much smaller scale. Tanks matture slowly, but in another year or so, your tank will run like a dream!

Phosphate tests are very tough to read, If you have neusance algae, you most likely have phosphates, and typically if there are phosphates, the algae uses them so quickly that all of your tests will read 0 anyway. Get a phosban reactor and pump for like $60. It will help big time, and bring you back to life!

Two Little Fishies 150. Inexpensive and works well. You will also need a small pump with 70 GPH, a couple feet of tubing 1/2 inch ID and media.

I run two reactors--one for carbon and one for phosban --they really do a good job:
