Anyone else's clownfish burrow in the sand?

The other morning when I came down to turn on the aquarium lights, like I always do. Anyways a little after I turned them in, my 2 clownfish started to dig a hole at the edge of the tank, and like to swim at the bottom through the sand. They are so wierd. Just wondering if anyone else's clown fish do this as well.[/ATTACH]

Mine also have carved out the sand in the corner of my tank. I don't have an anemone for them yet, but I hope they stop when that arrives.

mine has never left the top of the tank.. I wish they would travel to the sand area and get hosted.. I have several types of anemones too..

Mine does that too. It's just the way they sleep and sand gets displaced.

Mine does that every now and then, It's only one of the pair that does it. The male will fan his tail at the sand a stir it up a bit, also will try and chase away any other fish that come near. I say try because my jester goby just stays away from everyone but my tang, and my tang doesn't pay either clown any mind really

when my BTA moved to back of tank and low to sand the female True Percula of my mated pair started fanning depression into sand. When I moved (and it stayed)the BTA higher in tank ,clowns stopped with sand bed. And now for something completely different...I have a med. sized Hippo Tang that hangs with the Percula pair. I check body of anemone every day looking for the Tang inside but he still swims with clowns. Very strange behavior.
