Anyone ever keep a Blueberry Gorgonian

Yeah, to be honest, stick to the photosynthetic unless you are willing to feed constantly and consistently, and then deal with the strain you are putting on your system by adding all that food! There are some really cool photosynthetic ones out there - I have 4 different sp. and they are really nice - especially after they start to fill in and grow!

That being said, non-photosynthetics are damn tempting because they look so beautiful.....

I've kept a blueberry successfully now for about 4 months. It's true they are a bit harder to keep, but I'm no expert. I had to try several spots before I found a good spot for it. I found it requires high flow to open frequently, and it has to be open to feed, so this is critical. I feed it 3 times directly each week and that seems to be keeping it happy. It does force you to put more food in the tank which means higher nitrates, and increases the need for regular water changes, but I do that once a week anyway. It is a beautiful piece worth the extra effort IMO.

Username "cpage3" is currently diving I think in Hawaii doing research on gorgs. You may want to get in touch with him for some good info.

I've never heard of anyone that's been able to keep a "Blueberry Gorgonian" ( Acalycigorgia spp.) alive long term. Save your money.

Thanks for the info, guess I'll stick with the photosynthetic ones. I have tried the non-photo in the past and they didn't last longer than 6 months. Ohhh well.

I think I'm going to on Monday. Currently in my cart are some of the Blue zoo's, Blueberry Gorg,tri_color ric, Blue Linkia(gamble), and an electric scallop.

oh....let's see what's in Kat's cart....OH SHOOT...it's a sign, "Problem Loading Page"...but last night? I was shopping. I'll get back to ya on what's in the cart.
