Anyone ever order assorted Haddoni carpet from LA?

I placed an order today for a medium assorted haddoni carpet. I had a credit so I figured I would take the risk. just wondering in anyone else ordered one of these and what they got.

I was told by the lady on the phone that they have red, blue and green and its just a guess as to what I may get.

Would that be sweet to get a red for $50

Let me know if you have ordered one of these and the results

You will probably get a tan/green one. I don't think live aquaria would give the rarer colors for 50 as it would be a huge loss for them, but who knows. I read threads were they accidently gave atlantic carpets when people ordered assorted haddonis

Yeah, I've seen a few threads on mistakenly shipped Atlantic carpet from LA.
Bit I doubt that they would be dumb enough to ship a red haddoni for 50bucks.

it arrived, it was a typical green saddle striped carpet but I'm happy it looks decent. pics
up tomorrow.

still hasnt buried its foot yet, any tricks

Dig a hole at the rock sand interface and lower the flow. I used my hand to create a gentle current to see if had attached or would float away and once I felt that the pumps werent going to blow it away I slowly increased the flow maybe 10% a day until it was where it used to be.

I've dug the hole and placed it between 2 rocks and its been about 24hrs and it still hasn't attached. Its almost attaching to the rock?

Give it time. I would be concerned it hasn't attached yet in 24 hours, but it still could be stressed from shipping. Post a picture up also.

Ok, well I gave it another try and I dug a hole and wedged it tight between 2 rocks, so I cannot really tell if its foot is buried or not but I have the flow up at a decent amount and it has stayed so I'm guessing its attached. It looks a bit better but its mouth is still a little loose.

I also placed a 1/4" piece of krill in its mouth earlier in the day

clowns are hovering above it but not hosting it yet.

I must say I'm pretty happy so far with my purchase. The nem is about 8-10" and has a great color. I will very happy if the clowns host it but I'm nervous as I have a very young new pair.

I thought the mediums are 4-6" and large was 6-10"? If you ordered medium how come you got large?

Also, is the haddoni bright green or is it muted green like the stock picture for the LA haddoni?

When I ordered mine I ordered a small 3-4" and received a 10-12" one. They sometimes have the bright neon green in the normal section and if I remember right it is $89.99.

You ordered a small and got a large? WTH?

That's why I only order stuff from DD..

The only reason that I ordered the small is that they were on sale and didn't mind only paying $20 and watching it grow up. However they do grow pretty fast so my 10-12 is more like 16-18 when it is fully expanded.

yeah it is larger than expected, its not exctly a bright green but its a nice green one I must say. I force fed it again today a 1/4" part of krill. it ate it. The clowns are hovering around it but mostly hosting my xenia near the carpet. I might remove the xenia or move it and maybe they will host carpet. Its a little sticky but the krill didn't stick to it as I tried.

It might be a little early to feed it I would wait for 3-4 weeks to let it fully get used to its new home. Also a little trick I learned with mine is that if you just simply place a piece of food on it it will kind of wait to see if its something just brushing up against it or a snack. However if you apply a little pressure against the disk and wiggle it around like it is something trying to get away it will curl up around it in about half a seccond and will not let go.
