i went to the botanical gardens this week and saw a poison dart frog display. well, after seeing one, i think i know how i will spend my next few hundred dollars. anyone here ever set one up. how did it turn out.

they are the most exciting and rewarding displays to set up, I have done it numerous times

my most recent involved dual 10 gallon tanks put together for height

they are fun because you use those little decorative fountain pumps (only cost like 7 bucks) to make waterfalls, etc

I recommend http://www.dendroboard.com/phpBB2/index.php

I had a hex I landscaped in miniature, complete with small waterfall, and raised skinks. The only fly...uh, insect...in the ointment was the cricket requirement, and skinks are messy eaters.

from some herps, but its no different than handling raw meat, just wash your hands afterwards, especially when handling waste (which should be common sense anyways)

miwest marine has several setups for the dart frogs and can get several species and will build you a setup of your choice.

It's in Collinsville, right off of 55/70, big sign on it that just says "FISH". I had heard Brian was building these things. I wish he would put the effort back into his SW stuff.

i agree he dabbles in a lot of everything so knid of hard to stay focused, he had his daughters horse die lately so hes had a lot of issues with that. he is modding a 30gal breeder for me into a sump presently.
