Anyone ever try bugs?

*** is that? Looks like a cross between a fly,grass hopper and a lobster( well the head anyways ). What kinda cam? those are real good pics.

I'm told it is a mole cricket, a pest here that eats lawns. Who would have knew when I threw him in the lawn.

I tried some ants just now. They sure move fast.

Yeah, mole cricket. Everywhere in Florida. Burrow under the grass and eat the roots, kills big chunks of grass.

As said, the insect you photographed is a mole cricket.

As for "anyone ever try bugs?". Bugs are actually what I mostly shoot, and I think I am better at that than aquarium photography.

Sadly I'm not good at either, but I must say insects are incredible
subjects to shoot. I am getting ready to go hunt some critters
I just realised are congregating by my porch light.
