Anyone ever use an enteral pump for dosing?

I once aquarium-sat for a friend that had a medical pump he used for dosing his tank. I thought this was kindof cool and I saw one the other day at the swap and Andy was kind enough to let me check it out to see if it will work for me. Thanx Andy!

Anyway, I have a basic idea how to set it up and I have a couple of bags/bottles I can hook up to it.

Has anyone used a pump like this before? Can you run me through how you would hook it up? I think I need some more flexible tubing where it goes around the "wheel" since that seems to be how it pumps the fluid through the tube. The ones I have kept making it beep saying it wasn't pumping.

Yes I had one still do-not in use
Innovative aquatics.com peristaltic pump.

They do work for small tanks but after a while the tubing clogs and needs replacing.

Anyways u will def find the chores around your tank are going to be reduced.

Totally perfect I may have some single channel tubing that u can have to test it out-have to dig in the garage.

I figure it needs a high quality silicone tubing. I would love to get my hands on some nice real medical grade stuff. Maybe I'll get in touch with my buddy that's a physician's assistant. hmm....

there u can find the tubing needed for the job. Single or double tubing.
I did try the other way since I have access to pretty much all kinds of tubing for Iv's and no go.

Eric I don't think u can. But then again who knows perhaps someone can help with this matter.

I hope I can use a two channel tubing...it would be amazing to be able to dose my two part that way! I'd make it my top off at the same time too...kill three birds with one stone....hope I can get it going.

I believe you can use the 2 channel pump set on this medical dosing pump. I have one or a few of these pumps, but currently on a single channel for kalkwasser only. It does the job quite well for keeping my pH in place as well as my makeup water.
