Hi there,:wavehand:

Long time stalker, first time poster. (Hope I'm not messing up posting here...)

Anyhoo, I am a fluval evo 13G owner who is looking to upgrade my tank. I came across a 29G acrylic tank and stand combo on PetCo's website by R&J Enterprises for $400. The most info I could find is here: http://http://rjaquatics.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/29-gallon-manual-complete-5-24-17.pdf

The only thing this manual is missing is the thickness of the Acrylic. Which is 10mm.

I have a nicer light to put on it, better filtration/ skimmer, and I plan to go bare bottom. My only fear is a tank exploding and dropping 29 gallons on my apartment floor hence the Acrylic. I want to mitigate risk as much as possible.

I can't find any trusted reviews on this combo, and I'm curious how secure I should feel with this tank.

I really trust the advice I get on here, and I would love to know what you think.

Any advice from you guys would be mean a lot.

No experience first hand with it. But I have seen acrylic aquariums sold by big box stores before and they are not very good in quality. The acrylic is very thin (3/8"- 1/4") and will bow when filled with water.
Also, notice from their site that the tank does not have any bracing on the top of the tank.

Best is to go out to the store and see the tank in person. For acrylic, I personally would only buy if it's 1/2" or more. Any less will bow when filled with water.
