Anyone feed pellets to their sun coral?

Old thread but imo pellet food is the best thing to feed most NPS since they don't leach nutrients into the water like frozen food. I use FM LPS pellets and grind them up for smaller corals, then use a tube to feed.

I'm curious if anyone has had long term success (i.e. 12 months+) feeding their dendro/Tubastraea/rhizo's exclusively on pellets.

I've only ever feed them pellets, had colonies that grew like crazy for years before selling them... If you the protein etc it's pretty similar to frozen food except for the water content, especially the FM LPS pellets.

I tried feeding small fish pellets (formula one). I noticed that they'd get spitted out some time later mostly undigested.

Oh yeah I totally forgot to mention that! The pellets are dry and take a little bit to fully hydrate so you only need a couple to feed corals since too many will over-expand and get spit out. I think too many dehydrates the coral from the inside too. You need a lot fewer pellets per polyp than you'd think, like 1 or 2 depending on the type, it's why I like the crushed up FM pellets for smaller corals since they hydrate pretty quickly as soon as you put them in water.
