Anyone Gonna Have Livestock At The Swap?

I'm glad to hear that your pair is getting along a little better Angela.

Do you have any Picasso Clowns??? IF you do, what's the price on a pair, I want a pair!!! If you don't have that one, do you have Onyx Percula? Pair price? IF no on the first type, I want a pair of this second type. Those Clowns I got from you last time are doing quite well, they're paired up now, sleeps together in the zoanthid colony. IF you don't have either one of those kinds, I would settle for the Black and White, thanks!

I have some juveniles from a spawning picasso female that are showing promise, but they are still very young, and A. percula can take a looong time to mature. Only a few of her offspring are showing unusual barring patterns (like maybe 2%), as her mate is a kind of half-onyx percula (they should be pretty interesting fish though).

We've got quite a few onyx perculas, but they are small and have not yet developed their "onyx" coloration. If you'd like to hold out a few months, I can let you know when some of them have matured a bit. I would rather sell them as colored-up fish so that people "trust" they are getting onyx, although I have sold juveniles to some (asked $15 each) who wanted to watch their development.

Let me know what you'd like to do or if you want me to bring another B&W pair :)

Fishboy42,
Are you bringing additional clowns? If not I'd like the Percula pair.
thanks,
Tim

I will probably bring some other clowns, but I am not planning to bring many normal ocellaris (unless someone has a specific request), as there are several shops in the area that carry these fish from us, and I don't want to step on any toes. I thought I would bring different clowns that the shops haven't ordered or that have just recently become available.

Fishboy, I currently have an oceallis I got at the critter a long time ago. I ahve not been very happy with it and would love to replace it with a pair. it seemd as this fish tends to go thru skinny and fat phases. what might happen if I go with a pair of those Gold stripe maroons?

Hmm...it could be possible that it has internal parasites? The gold-striped maroons tend to be a little more agressive, but once they settle in, they seem to be ok. In reefs they will sometimes move the sand (and corals!) around. I think several in MTRC have larger maroons too and could share their experiences. I know Gary has a mature pair :)

my large ocellaris moves corals around. if i put something in a place she dont like....its down in the sand. I try placing zoa frags in the rock, but she knocks them off. I have no sand bed in front because its zoa frags and other stuff. I had a nice spot for the pipe organ i got from gary, but, she wasnt havin it there. Pretty much, my 20 is done because she doesnt allow anything new...(at least she doesnt mind the peppermint shrimp). I glued my blastos (from AC meet) on a 3"x2" rock (things are spreadin' like crazy) there was no way she could move it, she kept trying but she settled for taking her tail and slingin sand all over them, she finally has gotten over it and doesnt bother them anymore. She also picks the baby ceriths up and will toss them around if they are near her mushroom rock. She has got issues....

That's funny Steve. They are very aware of their surroundings I suppose.

I have one pair (ocellaris) that won't tolerate an airstone near their pot. The Female takes the airline in her mouth and pulls it across the tank, dragging the airstone behind it.

Another female (cinnamon) likes her flowerpot to stand upright (like one would position a normal flowerpot) instead of to the side. A couple of times now she has gotten inside and tilted/pushed it upright!

I usually let them have their way :)

Fishboy. mark me down for that pair of maroons. I tink I will give them a shot. the one I have is rarely seen and Wife wants more visible fish (go figure). I have a Massive Xenia forest in the tank. would they maybe take to it? I would say it is at least 10" square....

Got you down. I haven't heard too much about GSM with xenia, but that doesn't mean they wont' take to it. They do like BTA anemones though, which are fairly easy to keep. I may even bring a few small clones to the swap.

I'll take that 2% chance, I need two of those that's showing unusual barring patterns. We'll watch them grow up and hopefully they'll be a lot like the Picasso. Put those on the side for me. The second one you sent to me with Angela, that one become the female and she is very mean to any fish that's near by her home. I've never seen her sooooo mean until the recent addition of two Mollys, she was chasing them down. She was mean to her mate for awhile for some odd reason. But they have gotten back together and doing great. I can't wait to get these new guys from ya, thanks!!!

YOU gonna have those really cool bags again this year?

I hope so; I have found a new way to seal them that should work much better (had a few leakers last time). Otherwise I will double-bag with O2 as for shipping (it's just not as cool-looking and harder to see the fish).

I can understand not wanting to bite the hand that feeds you. I'm in the market for a pair of Nemos for my three year old daughter so she's not particular. I'll definitely be stopping by your table (sounds like it will not be hard to find). See you there.
Thanks,
Tim
