Sorry I couldn't make it either, Andy. Bad timing, my wife and I have been working very hard getting it together for turkey day. I know how tough it is doing that by yourself, I've been there.
got to love this the sump is running as a closed loop between both over flows.... and the tank is running on bubblers and powerheads...
but I am short 7 or more gallons of water
its definitely better if its equally between the lines. if its not the farther away you go from the point your measuring from the greater the error will be
perfectly level would be the bubble perfectly in the middle...aka distance on both sides of bubble should be the same.another way to do it is with the empty tank...pour a little water in it...like spoonful and see if it just sits there or "rolls" downhill. good luck
I built the stand for my 90 for my family room which used to be an outdoor patio so the floor slopes slightly. I checked the level beforehand and built the stand so it's 3/4 in higher on one side than the other. No shims, hee hee

as long as the bubble is between the lines is it ok or does it have to be equally between the lines....
