anyone has a PAR meter

knockout

Really Cool Stuff!
I'd like to borrow/rent a PAR meter, I currently use T5's and soon after the swap will be setting up a 250w MH over one third of my tank, would like to get readings on both sides, will set the halide and for next 3-4 months will have a series of frags on both sides of the tank and compare growth and coloration
is that enough time?

I got a Apogee, you can borrow when your ready
i would say that 3 or 4 months is enough time but i am not convinced it is the only factor in rapid growth and strong coloration.I know for me there are a few factors i have never figured out but occasionally stumble on the right combination of things and get the color and growth i am happy with.

Thanks Dan, ahh I finally have a good excuse to visit you!!! I understand is not the only factor, I am having my water tested by AquariumWaterTesting right after the swap, as far a I know I know everything is fine and dandy, but I can never trust the no color in the test kits :hmm3:

if the test results are ok, I will proceed with the MH test, this summer I am adding a calcium reactor which I am picking up the swap but will hold off as I dont want to change more than one thing at a time and not know what did it, if it does it at all :spin2:

Thanks for the offer and I'll be chatting with you next Sunday!
