Fade turned me on to finsreef they sell just the needle wheel impeller which is what i need. Only $110 + ship for that:sad1: Guess its better than a whole new pump, but they are out of stock right now, so skimmerless again til they come in.

Heh- Just found this thread...Yeah I gotta admit that my stuff always seems to be a work in progress. John's justified in his concerns about the meshwheel I think. I'm getting about 50% more air out of each 4100 than a Deltec Eheim but only time will tell how that number changes as the meshwheel gets dirty. I'm in the process of engineering a pin wheel with a 1/8" acrylic disc and a slew of 1mm carbon fiber rod. I that more thinner "bubble choppers" is the key to getting the most out of the pumps without having to clean all the time. Euroreef is getting similar numbers out of the 4100 so I look forward to trying it out....
