anyone have a glass drill bit

I was wondering if anyone had a 1" or 3/4" bit for tank drilling I could borrow?

are you looking for that size bit or for one that drills for that size BULKHEAD???

....cause i have glass drill bits from glass-holes.com for 1-1/5", 1" & 3/4" BULKHEADS, so that'd be a 2-3/8" - 1-3/4" - 1-1/2" holes respectively

let me know. they are currently buried in my "aquarium crap" box from my recent move.....that box is in the back corner of a pretty big area of boxes, so it'll take a bit to get to & i ain't goin thru all that till i know that's what ya need

I wasn't actually going to use a bulk head. I was just going to put a piece of 1" pipe through and silicone it. It would be on the back top of the tank, so It wouldn't be holding any pressure. That is why I thought no bulkhead.

Use a bulk head it is better to be safe then sorry

I have some smaller bulkheads if you need one, I think they are 1/2" and 1" let me know, you can have it for what I paid which was $5 if I remember right.

if you just want the pipe to seal, then use a bulkhead. if you want the pipe to go all the way thru, then you need to use a uniseal

Yes it will connect to a 1" pipe if it is a slip it will just slip in or if it has threads it has to be screwed what are you trying to do?

How are you planning on doing your overflow?

You definitely don't want to try to just pass a pipe through glass. Without a doubt use bulkheads.

Adrian when you get your tank running post some pic's of how that overflow works for you. And if that worked for your clowns to host in the shroom. Also post a thread about your alk. I'm sure there someone on here can help you more with it.
