Ive got to be honest, Im pretty upset with ecotech right now. I bought and MP40 that was made just this last april. After having it 3 weeks the wet side locked up. They said it was due to a bearing being made in the wrong humidity and when it absorbed water it expanded and locked up. On Wednesday the dry side failed. I called them and they asked if I would send it back so they could repair it. I asked them considering its over $400 and failed twice already if they would send me a new one. They said no problem and were going to ship one out that day so I would have it by Friday and not go the entire weekend without it. I called them back Friday and they assured me it would be here but didnt give me a tracking because "their system was down." It never came so I spent $420 to be running a MJ1200 for the past 4 days, not to mention when the dry side failed the wet side fell on top of my corals.

+1 I had 2 mp40's and they both had to be replaced,one of them had to go back twice

I also bought two MP40W's and a battery back-up back in March. They're great pumps when they're running correctly, but that's the problem, they never are. I had to buy a spare wet side just because it seems like I've always got one out for repair anymore. I regret ever buying them, and have chalked them up as the most costly mistake I've made on my tank set-up thus far.
They will be replaced with a pair of Tunze's soon.
