Anyone have a Regal Angel?

Anyone have a Regal Angel that they have been able to keep alive?

I really would like to get one, but the survival rate is dismal...

I had one. Ate like a pig, including nipping at my softies. Had to send off with RandalB.

Hey Randal, you still out there? How is the fish, family, and new home?

Our regal has done well for over a year now. He eats prepared food (which we make ourselves) mysis, nori, krill, you name it he eats it.

BLUEFACE!! I envy you! I wish I would be able to house one, but my tank that I'm setting up is only 4ft. long :( . I think that blueface's are the coolest lookin' angel around.

what's he been eating jimmy?

He has benn eating the sponge that is behind my LR.

Sponge is their natural food. I'm sure jimmy's angel is alot happier on a diet of sponge instead of prepared foods. It's just hard to keep the sponge growin' as fast as their eating it.

Hey Ed,

In and the new high speed connection is finally working!

That Regal Angel I got from you is doing great, eating new life spectrum like a pig and has gotten about .5" Larger and about 1/8" Fatter LOL. A little initial friction with a potter's angel but things have settled down. So No problems with the regal......

I have a RedSea Regal (for just over a year) and it eats anything I put in the tank. From flake to frozen mysis to Rod's food.

She also doesnt seem to pick at my corals (at least not that I can notice). She is in my 150 gal frag tank, so there are SPS & softies in there. I dont keep fleshy LPS like brains in with her, but I have always had torch, frogspawn and candy canes in her tank without problems.

One of these days I will bite the bullet and put her in my main display tank.
