Anyone have a Rubbermaid Brute Split?

I just bought a 44 gallon Rubbermaid Brute garbage can to hold my auto top off water. (I'm tired of filling my 7g bucket every week).

Has anyone had theirs leak? I'm just wondering how full I can go with the container. It's in a basement, but I will be finishing off the basement soon, and wouldn't want a soaked floor.

Thanks!

I've had mine for almost 3 years, no problems.

I've been using these for over three years with no problems. I use them for water changes, water storage and most recently bought a 44 gal Brute container because my 6 gal reservoir would be empty in three or four days.

I'm convinced you could run these things over with the car, fill them up with water, and they wouldn't leak.

I bought a pair new in 2000 and they are still running strong. One is drilled for a float valve and the other is my saltwater mixing bin.

I own two. A 32G and a 55G. I purchased the 55 to make water simotaneously for two tanks. I fill them a little over the flared out part where the name brute is printed, that makes me worry less than all the way. As I understand it they are superstrong because of the round shape. I have never even seen one stretch out or lose shape. They cost money but well worth it! If Briankook can respond, I was wondering about the dollies. I order from USPC, the dollies they have will only support 300lbs. On my 55G can I make about 45G. Are those homemade? What size cans are those?

I saw those coasters at Home Depot when I bought my 44g Brute. If you have a HD close by, you could go there and check the rating. If I'm at HD, which every other day practically, I'll check for ya and report back.
