Anyone have a tang that swims around all night?

I just introduced a yellow tang into my aquarium several days ago and have noticed that the yellow tang slowly cruises around the tank most of the night. My other two tangs (blue hippo and kole) and most of my other fish hide in the rocks at when the lights go out. I realize the fish is acclimating to the tank but I was wondering if any of you have observed a healthy tang that cruises around all night rather than hiding in the rocks.

My Unicorn swims around all night, usually. Sometimes will chill out behind rocks, but usually cruises very slowly. Tomini goes to sleep.

Just remember, these fish have recently been plucked from an ocean half a world away. Even though it may be dark in your tank, their biological clock may think it is time to be up and swimming. They may "adjust" out of it after a while.

My yellow tang started cruising at night as soon as I added led moon lights. It really screwed him up. I adjusted the leds to throw less light into the tank and he seems to sleep better now but he is still the last fish to bed.

Ok thanks, just wanted to make sure that it wasn't abnormal. Otherwise my yellow tang has acclimated very well, he is getting along with the other tangs and readily eats mysis shrimp and nori. :)

my achiles tang that i recently obtained from a fellow reefer that had him for a few years in his tank, cruises the tank at jet speed most of the night.

My powder brown does the same. He chills for a couple hours then its back to roaming, more time up and swimming than rest. Glad to hear hes not the only one.

My blue, yellow, and naso tangs tend to hide in the rock work at night, even with LED moonlights. Sometimes my Kole tang cruises the tank, as he's pretty active.
