Anyone have a trumpet/candycane that does this?

I keep seeing my trumpet (correct me if I'm calling it the wrong name) do this. I've not seen others like this, just wondering if it's a good thing or a bad thing...here's a photo...

It looks like some sort of polyp extension from the mouth to me. They seem happy, so I am assuming it's a good thing...

definetly feeder tentacles, mine does the same thing when the main lights go off and they fully extend when all the lights go out

They do it all the time. I feed mine mysis.
Yep.
I'll turn off the lights about 30 mins before I go to bed.
By the time I'm ready for bed the feeder tentacles will be fully extended, and I'll shoot a couple of mysis into the center of each head.
I try to feed mine about 2-3 times a week.

Not only does mine do that but it also sends out sweeeper tentacles that are about 5 inches long. Longest sweeper tentacle of any of my corals

Mine do that, but I've seen them completly invert their bulb/puffy area so that their only structure is this big mass pointing outward trying to catch floating by food.

I've never seen that. I guess I will have to go look.

if you go to exotic on oakland park, in the front show tank they have white ones that are open all the time
